Week 21

We had an ultrasound done on Monday and got to see the baby. At first the tech was doing all the measurements so I couldn't see the screen from where I was but Bliss could. He got a big grin on his face when he saw it. Made me happy :) She then turn the screen so that I could see my baby. It so cute :) I know its still see though and just skin and bones but still.

Here are some bigger ones of the profile.  In the second on, there is a darker spot on the chest, thats the baby's heart.

It funny because the people that I show the pics to all look at it and say, well that looks like (fill in the blank) so it must be a girl/boy.  My mom says looking at the head she can tell its a girl.  Bliss' mom says its head looks just like Bliss'.  My friend Michelle says it looks like her son's sonogram photos and not like her daughters so it a boy.  Who knows!  But, the other day I was laying in bed and it was moving around lot.  I told it to kick if it was a boy or a girl and 3 out of 4 times it kicked when I said boy so that's what I'm going with.  I figure, if the baby can't tell me what it is, than who can?


My appointment went well.  I've gained seven lbs so far.  I eat pretty much what ever I want so I'm happy with that.  My blood pressure is still high for me but nothing that the doctor is worried about.  I have another UTI so they may put me on antibiotics for the rest of my pregnancy depending on how this one clears up.  


That's about in it the prego world.  I bought some fabric last weekend but found a photo online with that fabric made in to curtains and I didn't like so we'll see what else I can find.  I have a little bit more time :)

Week 20 - Half way there!!!

Not that much happened this week except my baby is half baked :)

I went out to dinner with some of my friends Friday night.  They all have babies and I got to love on them which is the best part of friends having babies!  Morgan and Everett are 5 months and Will is just one month.  So sweet!

Saturday Ashley, Everett and I went up to Atlanta to check out what IKEA had.  I bought some fabric for the baby's room.  I love it but I'm not going to cut it up yet, just in case I find something else I like better.  I'll have to figure it out quick though...so much to do and time is running out!   

We also stopped at Babies R Us on the way home.  They were having a bag sale where all the clothes you could fit in to a bag were 25% off.  Since we don't know what it is yet, I bought some green and yellow onsies and sleeper bags.  They are so little and so cute :)

 

I haven’t been sleeping well lately.  I wake up at least 2-3 times per night and am awake for 30-45 min each time.  I have been SO sleepy!  My friends suggested a body pillow.  They all slept much better once they started using one so I went to Bed Bath and Beyond today and got one.  I figure the $8 it cost me was worth it if it means I can sleep though the whole night.  We'll see what happens tonight!

Also, I think its time to retire my wedding ring.  It find first thing in the morning but I find myself taking it off at work then as soon as I get home.  I'm going to have to get me a replacement for the next few months.  Maybe I should get some big bling!!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!  We get to see our baby again!!  This is the ultra sound where we could find out what we're having but not going to.  I must admit, it is getting a little harder not finding out!  I'm sure I'll make it though tomorrow but its so tempting to just say, YES!  TELL ME!!!  My baby is going to be dress in green for the first 3 months of its life....its a good thing I like green :)

Week 19

My belly is getting bigger and my pants smaller but I'm feeling the whole being pregnant thing.  I just feel fat.  I know in my head that I am, I just don't feel it. 

 18 weeks 5 days

That's how I was feeling up till Tuesday.  Then I felt my baby move :)

ITS ALIVE!!!

I have been poking at my belly, laying there concetrating on my belly thinking that maybe I was missing it, but nothing ever happened.  Then Tuesday night I was laying on the couch watching a movie with Bliss and I felt a little something something.  A gasped and looked at Bliss then felt it two more times!  I was so excited.  He came over rubbed on my belly, gave me a kiss and said I'm glad you're not fat anymore.  What a husband :)

This week went well.  Nothing new happening here.  The air has been a pretty light yellow color due to the pollen in the air but it rained mid week so all that was knocked down.  It has been beautiful out.  High 70's but no humidity yet.  This is one of the few times of year I love GA!

Week 18

Well, I made it though another week. Still no movement from Baby Jourdan.  At night I lay and bed and wait.  Sometimes I poke and push on my belly to see if that will make it move but nothing yet.  Bliss gets annoyed with me pushing on my belly because usually hes trying to sleep and doesn't like me to keep moving.  He also tells me that I'm being mean to his baby.  How cute that he thinks its his :) 

Of course it is his....don't go jumping to any conclusions!

Last weekend was busy.  Thursday night we went down to see Girlz Girlz Girlz at the Cherry Blossom Festival.  They are an 80's big hair band and holy shit was it funny.  I sang along with most of the songs (thanks, Christina, for making me learn dance routines and therefore learning all the words) and Bliss laughed at me for knowing all the words :)

Then Friday night we went to see Defending the Caveman.  It was a comedy show about how men and women interact and our views of each other.  Very funny.  If you ever have the chance to see it, its great!  Finally, on Saturday, Jamie and I took the dogs downtown and to the arts and craft fair that was going on.  The dogs did pretty good.  Luna got scared shitless by a great dane and ran.  I laughed for awhile about that.  Yeah, I know.  I'm going to make a great mom!  We then went over to Andrew and Ashley's house and hung out for awhile while more people gathered.  Played some corn hole and drank some beers.  After everyone was there, we headed down to the street party (another Cherry Blossom event).  It was fun.  There was country music at one and of the street and rap/r&b music at the other end.  Between them was food and big beer trucks.  Besides the fact that it was freezing, it was great.

I know some of that should have been in last weeks post but I didn't really think about it at the time.  Something else that should have been in last weeks post is that my good friends Fred and Rebecca had their baby!   William Alexander arrived at 7:02 pm on Sunday, March 21st.  He was 8 lbs 9 oz and 19.5 inches long. 

He's so sweet!

Not too much happened during this week.  My friends at work seem to think that my belly is lots bigger.  I think its just the clothes I was wearing that day.  

Bliss is part of a group here in Macon.  I'm not positive on what they do, but I do know its a bunch of geeks that get together and talk about geek stuff and help out organizations that aren't so tech-savvy and can't afford their own geek.  Anyway, they are trying to get some money so they can get a space to meet and have classes and other geek stuff.  On Friday, as a fund raiser, they had a big LAN party.  Its where a bunch of people get gather, hook their computers or other gaming device together and play games till the wee hours of the morning.  I stopped by to drop something off and they seemed to have a good turn out.  Bliss got home around 6 am having filled his geek quota for the day :)
