Week 16 & 17

I got busy last weekend and didn't get around to writing my weekly update.  So, here's two weeks in one :)

Last week was my last in real pants.  I only had 2 pairs that fit at all and thought people might start to judge when they noticed me wearing the same 2 pairs of pants all week.  When I wore one of them this week, I was uncomfortable, so looks like I'm down to one.  Luckily, last weekend I went to Motherhood and bought me some new stuff!  I got a pair of nice black pants, a pair of jean and a pair of khaki capris.  I also got some undershirts.  Nothing too exciting but it was nice to see whats out there.  Motherhood is only place that I have found that carries plus size in the store. 

My belly has grown.  When I came home last night, my friend Jamie made a comment about how pregnant I looked :)  I like looking prego.  Its really nice to not have to suck it in all day...not that I could if I wanted to. 

No baby kicks yet.  They say it can happen any day now.  I sit there and wait but I think my baby is lazy just like its momma and daddy.  Why move and kick when I can just lay here and snuggle?

I had an appointment on Monday.  They listened to the babies heart rate and said it sounded good.  Last time, the lady let me listen to it for awhile and showed me what the rate was.  She told me about the other sounds that were there.  This time, a different lady did it.  She put the thing on my belly for a min.  She listed, said it sounds good and took it off.  She didn't really let me hear that much or talk to me about it.  Also, when I asked what the rate was, she said in the 140's.  Well no shit, but did you actually look?  Do you know?  Oh well.  Hopefully next time I'll get the good lady again :)  

Speaking of next time, that will be my big 20 week appointment with ultrasound!!  That's when we can find out what we're having!!  But we're not going to :)  Its just more exciting this way.

Week 15

According to TheBump.com, my parasite is now the size of an orange.  I bought a bag of oranges last weekend not knowing that and now feel a little awkward eating them.  I still do.  I love me some oranges.  But still, its kinda odd.

Bliss took a photo of me and my expanding midsection the other night.  He sent it to our moms.  Commented on the size of my belly and said "She's really pregnant!"  Very cute.  My mom?  My mom commented on how I'm finally getting some boobs.  Thanks, Mom :)  I had to buy new bras 2 months in.  They started growing again recently but not nearly as quick as the first time so hopefully I can hang on to these for awhile.

 14 weeks 5 days

I went to the other consignment sale today and bought another shirt for me, a crib hanging thing that plays music, and a baby tub.  I know I really don't need to be buying this stuff since I'm going to be having showers and it will all be given to me, but really, how can you pass up a tub that's $25 at Walmart and only $5 at the sale?  Really you can't.  But, I do think my crib hangy thing is broken :(  I have to get Bliss to look at it and see if he can work his magic.

I'm still not wearing my maternity pants.  I'm going to try to hold out for a few more weeks.  We'll see.  Jamie brought me some pants of hers that are a size bigger then I wear hoping that they will get me through a little longer.  I tried on a few and they didn't fit well.  Jamie and I are very different shaped so maybe that's why.

That's about it for this week.  Bliss is doing fine.  Just hanging out and trying to be supportive.  Sometimes he gets it right :)   Hope y'all are doing good!!

Week 14

So, most of you know, I'm not a small girl.  I have some hips and a whole lotta butt but my stomach was alway fairly flat.  Even at my heaviest my stomach only had a slight bump.  Anyway, as time as passed in the pregnancy, my stomach has been growing some.  Nothing that anyone else would notice but like I had a really big meal or something.  This week it looks like all my meals are big meals.  My belly has popped.  Now, I still don't look prego.  I'm actually looking more like I should with an ass the size of a small country but I know there is a difference.  As I posted before, I still haven't gained any weight so I know its not that...just baby.  But how does a lemon sized baby way down at the bottom of my belly make the top pop out?  Strange.  And the pants that I could still wear?  The are getting tight...I can't sit up straight in them for too long...but I am no where ready for maternity pants.  Whats a girl to do?

I went to a consignment sale this weekend and Jen and her mother.  They were shopping for Morgan, Jen's daughter, and got some really cute stuff.  I got 2 shirts and a pair of pants for me.  One the shirts is too tight in the arms and because of the aforementioned butt, the pants are too small.  Oh well.  I got some onesies, blankets, burp clothes, diaper bag and bibs for really cheap.  There is another one this weekend coming so we'll see what treasures I find then.  

Also, my amazing friend Jen gave me some of her maternity clothes to use!  She's so good to me.  I could start wearing them now and be more comfy but I don't want to just yet.  I'm not ready for that.
